Pedicab drivers are independent contractors who lease a pedicab at reasonable weekly or monthly rates.
Pedicab drivers travel around Manhattan. There is no better place than New York City for pedicab drivers: easy terrain and millions of visitors every year. NYC is one of the most visited cities in the world.
You will pick up customers and transport them to their desired locations. You can also offer sightseeing tours throughout Manhattan, including Central Park. Drivers keep the fares and the tips earned after each ride.

Candidate Requirements
- Must be over 18 years old
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must obtain a NYC Pedicab Driver License (approx. $35 per year)
There are application forms required to obtain the license, but essentially you only need a valid state driver's license.
If your driver's license is from another state different than New York, bring a Certified Abstract of your Driving Record issued within the last 30 days by the Department of Motor Vehicles from the state or country that issued your license. This document confirms the license is valid and in good standing.
